Peoples Gas (City of Chicago) and North Shore Gas (northern suburbs) offer instant discounts on weatherization work completed by program-approved contractors like Green Attic.
- Rebate Maximum: Up to $1,200 per weatherization project (2026 program year).
- Attic Insulation: $0.30 per sq ft, up to $500. Home must go from R-0 to R-14 existing to R-49+, bundled with air sealing.
- Air Sealing: $0.40 per CFM reduction, up to $400. Wall Insulation: up to $400. Duct Sealing: up to $400.
- Instant Savings: Rebates are applied as immediate discounts at the time of service by program-approved contractors, no forms to file.

- Program Period: Valid for installations from January 1 – December 31, 2026.
- Sealing Rebates: Up to $500 for air sealing and $600 for duct sealing.

- Window Bonus: $100 rebate per ENERGY STAR® qualified window attachments & replacement.

Multi-Family Insulation Rebate
Multi-family buildings must have permanent or semi-permanent residential tenants and be an apartment/condominium, college/university dormitory, assisted living facility or retirement community consisting of 3 units or more.
